Hospitality Management System (HMS) |
The 9700 HMS is the
company's newest point-of-sale system for the large
enterprise, designed to integrate all functions of both
front-end and back-office restaurant service, retail
service and more. The MICROS 9700 HMS utilizes the industry's
most advanced POS technology to deliver maximum flexibility
and scalability. The system has been built as a native
Microsoft® Windows® NT application to leverage the expanded
power and built-in security of this world-proven operating
system. The 9700 HMS can produce up-to-the-minute customized
reports in real-time, and allows multiple users to operate
other software programs while the system is in use.
The system can also automate specific utilities, so
reports and other functions can run unattended at the
same time every day. These features provide outstanding
savings of time and effort for restaurant management
personnel. The MICROS 9700 HMS interfaces to virtually
any system or software, so users can easily integrate
POS with PMS, credit authorization, and back-office
software. The system employs Structured Query Language

Workstation 4

Information |
Workstation
4 |
The Workstation 4 has been designed
to last. The use of solid-state components and passive
cooling eliminates the mechanical devices most prone
to failure, hard drives and fans. The result is a device
with an expected life span far in excess of typical
PC based workstations. Great care has been taken to
ensure the finest components have been used. From the
Active Matrix LCD panel to the 3-track magnetic card
reader, 5-wire resistive touchscreen to the self-tightening
hinges of the stand, the WS4 utilizes components proven
superior in performance and reliability.
Constructed of high impact ABS plastic,
the WS4 will withstand the punishing hospitality environment
for years, and still maintain an attractive finish.
Per MICROS custom, the touchscreen is sealed with a
rubber O-ring, the integrated magnetic card reader channels
liquid spills out of the casework, and peripheral cables
are securely held in place, immune to splash, debris
or tampering. By mounting the power supply internally,
MICROS has ensured the power supply is always correctly
placed, and is not subject to the abuse and spills that
plague external units. The WS4 is designed to operate
in temperatures ranging from 0 degrees centigrade (32F)
to 45 degrees centigrade (113F,) exceeding most competitors.
The key to the WS4 is the simplicity
with which it is installed. Remove the workstation from
its box, plug in a network and power cable, press the
power button and the device takes over. Utilizing the
MICROS Client Application Loader (CAL) the WS4 identifies
any MICROS application servers on the network. Answer
a few simple questions, and the WS4 is ready for business.
It truly is that easy. |
